What slows this industry down

AI hardware is a thermodynamics problem wearing a compute costume: every watt the accelerator dissipates ends up in machined metal, and a cold plate that misses 0.05 mm flatness on the die-contact face throttles the whole node. Liquid-cooling manifolds need leak-tight passages and O-ring grooves where one porosity defect means a flooded server. Accelerator generations turn over yearly, so thermal hardware must be redesigned and requoted on silicon-launch timelines. Copper machining and ENP plating expertise is scarce exactly when the buildout needs it most.
