Choose it when

You like PA6 but need a bit more stiffness, hardness and service temperature — PA66 holds gear teeth and threads crisper and runs hotter for a negligible price difference.

Look elsewhere when

Moisture-driven swelling is the concern: PA66 absorbs slightly less water than PA6 but still far too much for precision fits — that problem is solved by POM, not by switching nylons.

Typical applications

  • Gears and cams running near 100 °C
  • Electrical insulating blocks and spacers
  • Bushings and thrust washers under load
  • Automotive under-hood brackets
